Program Description:
The Foundation provides scholarship funding for Fort Bend County students obtaining a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work.
Award Amount:
$5,000 per year; students can reapply each year of the program
To Be Eligible, Applicants Must:
- be a Fort Bend County resident
- be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
- be accepted into the UH Graduate College of Social Work Program with a concentration in Clinical or Macro Social Work practice
- be enrolled in any of the enrollment models (face to face, hybrid or online)
- be bilingual in English and Spanish or other language that represents residents of Fort Bend County and meets community needs
- be able to demonstrate financial need
Application for awards may be competitive. Preference will be given to students who are open to completing placements in Fort Bend County and/or working within Fort Bend County after receiving the M.S.W. degree.
